Max’s excitement for the outdoors began bikepacking around Lake Michigan.  He then gained skills in backpacking, mountaineering, climbing, and skiing through a NOLS course.  He has worked for the Montana and Washington Conservation Corps and a private trail contractor.  He is very passionate about giving back to the outdoors community through conservation work.  When not working you can find Max backpacking, mountain biking, skiing, or hanging out in a coffee shop or bakery with a good book.
